Katey McGrath

Katey McGrath is the Vice President of Operations for Elfant Wissahickon Realtors, overseeing planning, development and management of the company’s non-sales departments, including finance, IT, human resources, special projects departments, et al. She manages strategy and policy development and implementation for the ownership of the organization.

She has been with EWR since 2000, working in myriad roles, has been licensed as a real estate agent since 2005 and associate broker since 2016, and has also worked as a resource consultant with a variety of small businesses and non-profits. She has helped many of our Realtors and teams with their business planning, marketing and technology strategy. In 2016, she was named Partner.

Katey cares strongly about the vitality of the city’s neighborhoods. She works regularly with neighborhood associations to strengthen ties between business and public education communities, and spent many years building relationships through her work with the Friends of Neighborhood Education, the board of the Friends of J. S. Jenks Elementary School, Philly CORE Leaders, the Mt Airy Schools Coalition, and as co-chair of the Philadelphia Public School Notebook, an independent news organization serving the stakeholders of the Philadelphia School District.

More recently, her advocacy has focused on fair housing and furthering and strengthening homeownership as a volunteer leader with the Greater Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Associations of Realtors (GPAR and PAR). She currently serves as the Treasurer of GPAR and chair of its Horizons Committee, sits on the Government Affairs Committee at the local level and the Diversity Committee at the state level. She has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors at BrightMLS, a multiple listing service covering five states and 90,000 subscribers.

A Philadelphia native, Katey is a graduate of public schools K-12, and continued her studies at Drexel University, Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University. She completed the Leadership Philadelphia Core Program in 2017. Katey is passionate about civil rights, Philly sports teams, her garden, her husband Steven and their two very tall sons, Sonny and Danny.
