Welcome Karrie Gavin!

Posted on: August 4, 2011

We’re so pleased to welcome Karrie Gavin to our team of real estate professionals.  Karrie and her husband bought their house through our company a few years ago, and we knew by settlement that she’d make a great real estate agent!

Karrie wrote the book on Philadelphia—literally.  As author of the guidebook Moon Philadelphia and the Philadelphia/South Jersey writer for About.com, she is a true local expert.  From parks and schools to restaurants and shopping, she has a beat on the amenities that make each Philadelphia neighborhood special.  Sellers looking to market their homes and buyers searching for the right home in the best neighborhood for them benefit from her vast knowledge.  As a former writer for home and garden magazines, she also has an eye for the little details, and there are few things she enjoys more than matching the unique personality of a home to the unique personality of her clients. Born and raised in Mt. Airy, Karrie now lives in Center City with her husband, their son, and their beagle.

Karrie can be found most days at our Rittenhouse Square office or reached via email at karrie@ewrhomes.com.

Elfant Wissahickon welcomes Asher Kahn

Posted on: June 4, 2010

My partners and I are thrilled to welcome Asher Kahn as sales manager of our Center City office at 2000 Pine Street. Asher Kahn brings with him over ten years of experience in real estate, and seven in management. Formerly Broker of Record of Asher Kahn Realty, his company was the exclusive listing agent for Murano Condominiums in partnership with Citihabitats. He is licensed as an Associate Broker in NJ, PA and was licensed in NY.

Asher truly enjoys the vibrant nature of the Center City Real Estate market and the brokerage community. Assisting Realtors in achieving their business goals excites him just as much as helping Buyers & Sellers in their real estate transactions. Asher is happy to bring the Murano Development to Elfant Wissahickon REALTORS as a preferred premier listing in center city, and to join his sales team, Karen Ragan and Tim Rizzo, with our company.

Asher tells us, ‘The future is wide open for Elfant Wissahickon in center city with the great team members that we have here. The culture of EW was a natural extension of my real estate practice and I felt the resources and relationships that EW offer were of great benefit to my clients, staff and other affiliations.’

He lives in Queen Village with his wife and young son and if you see him driving his scooter around Rittenhouse Square, say hi.

Side Note: Asher is a musician and encourages you to join him on June 25 at Milkboy Cafe in Ardmore for a special performance.

Elfant Wissahickon REALTORS is coming to Rittenhouse Square!

Posted on: August 5, 2008

We’re thrilled to announce that our newest location will be opening soon at 2000 Pine Street in Rittenhouse Square.

Our brand new Center City location is in a beautiful art deco building on the corner of 20th and Pine Streets. It’s a lovely neighborhood, and convenient to so much downtown Philadelphia has to offer. We decided to open this fourth location to better serve our Center City clients, and to further support our agents working, living and selling real estate in the city.

We believe this growth will only further cement our place as the city’s leading independent REALTOR*. We’re already getting an extremely warm welcome from our new neighbors and local businesses.

My partners and I want to extend our sincerest thanks to one of our Center City agents, Chas Hendricksen. He coordinated the effort to get us up and running, spearheaded renovations and decoration, and directed much of our marketing plans. We couldn’t have done it without you, Chas!

Stay tuned for our official grand opening, stop by and see our office, and meet our experienced Center City REALTORS!
