A chat with Christian Fegel, Realtor

Wooder ice or ice Cream?

Pop’s Water Ice at 13th and Oregon Avenue is my place and mango wooder ice is my order.

What’s your favorite spot/neighborhood in the city?

I live in South Philly but one of my favorite spots in the city is the Biopond on Penn’s campus behind the Zoology building.  It’s an incredibly peaceful city oasis full of wildlife, exotic plants, and lots of oxygen.

What’s your favorite part of Philadelphia’s rich history?

My favorite historical markers in Philly are ones that are still working, like Head House Square and its year round farmers market at 2nd and Pine.  And just as cool are the ruins of old sites like the western walls of Moyamensing Prison in my East Passyunk neighborhood.  The prison, now a bustling Acme with an amazing cheese section, was built in 1834, demolished in the sixties, still has large sections of its walls intact.. If you know where to look.

What are new habits/hobbies during quarantine?

I’ve really started to get into podcasts like “Talking Sopranos” and “Office Ladies” while organizing and cleaning out my basement.

What are you most excited about being a realtor?

I love the diversity and excitement of clients I get to work with from single first-time homebuyers and young families to investors both novice and experienced.  Closing on a home never gets old when you have happy clients..
