Allens Lane Art Center offers opportunities for people to explore their creative potential. These programs and activities are important because artistic experience and expression enhance our quality of life. Allens Lane Art Center strives to make our programs available to those who might otherwise be unable to participate. In carrying out our mission, Allens Lane Art Center is committed to social diversity, promotion of a collaborative environment, personal empowerment, freedom of expression, and openness to new ideas.

The Rotary Club of Chestnut Hill focuses on helping others, improving communities, and providing financial resources to those less fortunate, while enjoying fellowship. The Club was founded in 1995 and services the local neighborhoods of Mt. Airy, Germantown and Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia as well as surrounding communities. We believe strongly in Rotary’s guiding ethical principles contained in the Four-Way Test.

The Chestnut Hill Conservancy, formerly the Chestnut Hill Historical Society, founded in 1967, is an educational center and advocate for the architecture, open space, and social history of Chestnut Hill and surrounding communities. Through programs and the Archives (with over 47,000 photographs, maps, records, and more), the CH Conservancy is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the Chestnut Hill area’s heritage. An innovative easement program preserves open space and historic facades in partnership with the Friends of the Wissahickon. Advocacy for preservation of historic buildings is initiated by the CH Conservancy and supported by our Resource Center, which directly advises homeowners on their care of their property, from maintenance to restoration to adaptive reuse.

Intercommunity Action, Inc. (Interact) has more than two dozen individual programs and more than 400 staff working to fulfill our mission and to meet the needs of our consumers. Journey’s Way, our division that serves older adults, provides programs for active adults ages 55+, housing counseling, affordable housing for adults age 62 and over, geriatric mental health, and assisted services that allow frailer individuals to age-in-place. Behavioral Health Services are coordinated through our Greenridge Counseling Center, which serves children and adults in a variety of outpatient, home, school, and community based settings, and our services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, include community residential living arrangements and supportive employment services.

Sweet Juice is a queer-artist-led collective whose mission is to inspire community action and engagement through immersive musical experiences, artistic expression, and joyful connection. With each event, we aim to inspire casual music-goers to get more deeply involved in their neighborhoods and strengthen the network of artists, individuals, and organizations working to vitalize their communities here in Philadelphia. In bringing greater visibility to underrepresented, local musicians and providing opportunities for connection and collaboration, we hope to fortify the meaning and magic that music can provide.

Mothers In Charge will advocate for families affected by violence and provide counseling and grief support services for families when a loved one has been murdered. Mothers In Charge is comprised of impassioned mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters who are committed to working towards savings lives. Most of the members have experienced the horror of having a son or daughter or loved one murdered. Because of the death and the life of their loved one, each mother and member is committed to saving lives and preventing another mother from having to experience this terrible tragedy.

PGP was created to provide opportunities for urban residents to ​connect to ​nature in a dynamic and novel way by using goats. PGP is our country’s first city-based multi-service goat program, providing grazing, animal assisted therapy and wellness events, environmental and educational experiences, and community engagement opportunities across many platforms. PGP’s barn is on the grounds of Awbury Arboretum, an historic outdoor space that is free and open to the public 365 days a year. PGP offers a variety of ways that visitors of all capacities and ages can enjoy and experience Goats for the Greater Good.

Asian Arts Initiative is a community-based arts center in Philadelphia that engages artists and everyday people to create art that explores the diverse experiences of Asian Americans, addresses our social context, and imagines and effects positive community change.

Business Friend since 2017: CCRA is a non-profit, volunteer-led civic association that was founded in 1947. Representing the residents of Center City West, from the west side of Broad Street to the Schuylkill River, and from the south side of JFK Boulevard to the north side of South Street. CCRA’s origin purpose was to save Rittenhouse Square from being converted into an underground parking lot. In the 70 years that followed, the focus has greatly expanded.

PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless and at-risk pets. PAWS is the city’s largest rescue partner and provider of affordable, basic veterinary care for pet owners and rescue organizations that cannot otherwise access it. Each year, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals in need, and enables thousands of families to keep their cherished pets. PAWS is working to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every savable pet is guaranteed a home.

Mighty Writers is a class 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2009. One hundred percent of the programs offered are free. Serving communities in and around Philadelphia, PA, as well as in Camden, Newark, and Atlantic City, NJ.

LEADERSHIP Philadelphia, founded in 1959, is a non-profit organization that mobilizes and connects the talent of the private sector to serve the community. It is the original and flagship model for over 1,000 such organizations across the country. Through its Core Program, LEADERSHIP Philadelphia enhances participants’ civic knowledge and awareness and enriches their leadership skills. LEADERSHIP Philadelphia serves as the hub of a diverse professional network. It is a deeply trusted convener and thought leader in the region.

Historic Germantown is a partnership of 18 extraordinary historic houses, destinations, and museums in Northwest Philadelphia that have joined together to protect, preserve, and share some of Philadelphia’s prized historical assets.

The West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance owns and operates the Paul Robeson House and Museum. The alliance was established in 1984 to “stimulate community participation in the arts by cultivating an interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for the arts in the greater Philadelphia region.”

The Concord School House is a historic one-room schoolhouse in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is operated today as a museum. It is part of the Colonial Germantown Historic District which was named a National Historic Landmark District in 1965.

A Home from Shana Foundation is a 501c3 Organization. Working to address and improve Black Maternal Health disparities that contribute to unacceptably poor Maternal and Infant health outcomes in underserved communities.

MANNA (Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance) is a leader in evidence-based nutrition services, bringing together dietitians, chefs, drivers, and thousands of volunteers to cook and deliver nutritious, medically appropriate meals and provide nutrition counseling to neighbors who are battling serious illnesses such as cancer, renal disease, and HIV/AIDS. From hands-on cooking classes and nutrition counseling to the delivery of 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, MANNA provides nourishment, hope, and healing to the Greater Philadelphia area, Southern New Jersey, and beyond.

Founded in 1984, the Southeast Asian Mutual Assistance Associations Coalition, Inc. (SEAMAAC) has over 2 decades of experience serving and advocating for refugees, immigrants, and asylees in the Greater Philadelphia area. The mission is to support immigrants, refugees, and their families as they seek access to opportunities, which would advance the condition of their lives in the United States.

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ), a member of Feeding America®, is the leading anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization in the state. What started as a modest enterprise in the back of the founder Kathleen DiChiara’s station wagon in downtown Newark in 1975, became an incorporated non-profit in 1982 and has grown to two warehouse facilities in Hillside and Egg Harbor Township, the combined size of five football fields. These locations serve area programs and community partners – over 800 in 15 of 21 New Jersey counties.

Laurel House is a comprehensive domestic violence agency serving individuals, families, and communities throughout Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The agency’s name was selected because of the beauty of the laurel, Pennsylvania’s state flower. It represents a victory for people who have taken the courageous first step of reaching out to Laurel House in their efforts to build a violence-free life for themselves and their children.

American Jewish World Service is a 501 nonprofit international development and human rights organization that supports community-based organizations in 19 countries in the developing world and works to educate the American Jewish community about global justice.

Cliveden’s mission is to help people understand the shared history and motivate them to preserve it. It’s achieved by: Preserving the buildings, grounds, and collections; Researching and interpreting Cliveden meaningfully to the public; Working with the local community to promote preserving and reusing historic buildings; Promoting the community’s cultural life and preservation efforts; and being a model of historic site management, preservation, and interpretation.

The Big Backyard Nursery School is a cooperative preschool located in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia. The school offers children a place to play and explore at their own pace in an environment that is just their size. The Big Backyard fosters the emotional, social, and intellectual growth of children by making each child feel safe, respected, and loved.

The Southwest Center City 5k​ is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, supporting the neighborhood schools and community. ​Since 2009, the ​​SWCC 5k​ Run has served the area as an active, community-building event, and has raised tens of thousands of dollars for neighborhood organizations. Once again this year, all proceeds will be donated to the Friends of Chester Arthur (FoCA) & Stanton Community Partners (SCP) to support projects at these local schools. These organizations were formed by Southwest Center City parents and community members who are committed to partnering with the schools in order to foster a robust learning environment for all neighborhood children.

The Friends of the Chestnut Hill library is a voluntary, non-profit ​neighborhood organization. In addition to raising funds for repairs, improvements, and programs at the local branch, ​Friends of the Library Foundation advocates for full funding for all 54 branches of the Free Library of Philadelphia.

AFFORDABLE LODGING FOR OUT-OF-TOWN PATIENT-FAMILIES HOSTS FOR HOSPITALS (HfH) is a nonprofit agency that provides lodging and support at volunteer Host-homes for typically $20 per night per patient-family as a caring response to the lodging needs of patients and their loved ones coming to Greater Philadelphia for specialized medical care. Since July 2000, over 3,000 patient-families have been welcomed into HfH Host-homes. Patient-families need Host-homes near Center City and throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Our Hosts are ordinary people from all walks of life. They welcome patient families in need into their homes. The homes can range from ranch or multi-level, to condos or apartments in elevator equipped buildings. Hosts are not responsible for meals or transportation. Just a clean and comfortable place to sleep. The Housing Alliance is a statewide coalition working to provide leadership and a common voice for policies, practices and resources to ensure that all Pennsylvanians, especially those with low incomes, have access to safe, decent and affordable homes. We promote common-sense solutions to balance Pennsylvania’s housing market and increase the supply of safe, decent homes for low-income people.

The Philadelphia Housing Trust Fund is an innovative and vital tool for building and preserving affordable homes and advancing equitable neighborhood revitalization. It was established in 2005 in a collaborative effort among community organizations and city and state officials. Specifically, the Philadelphia Housing Trust Fund supports the development of new affordable homes, repair of existing homes, and foreclosure/homeless prevention programs. To date, over 6,246 low- and moderate-income families, seniors, disabled and homeless people have gained access to expanded housing opportunities through the Philadelphia Housing Trust Fund. The Trust Fund has also leveraged more than $277 million in non-city funds; created hundreds of jobs; expanded the City’s tax base; and, revitalized neighborhoods.

Philadelphia Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. (PNHS) is a 501c(3) non-profit community development corporation and certified Community Development Financial Institution, serving targeted neighborhood and populations in the City of Philadelphia. PNHS has marshaled private, philanthropic and government resources for evolving programs and services. PNHS combines these resources to halt the process of disinvestment and deterioration which threatens to destroy many of Philadelphia’s older residential areas. PNHS targets specific neighborhoods, forms strategic alliances with like- minded community organizations and groups to deliver comprehensive revitalization services. PNHS is a community builder focusing on quality affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization in low-income communities.

Inn Dwelling is a non-profit corporation dedicated to assisting poor families in the Germantown and Northeast sections of Philadelphia. Utilizing a coordinated web of education, housing and career development programs, Inn Dwelling seeks to be the agency of change through which area residents can reach their goals of self-sufficiency, social responsibility and upward mobility. Inn Dwelling believes that the most appropriate and fundamental solutions to poverty and homelessness are those that are holistic. All solutions to families’ economic crises must support the independence of people bound by poverty and its effects.

This community-focused event will once again bring cyclists together to promote wellness, sustainability, and environmental awareness—all while supporting the Ambler Campus Director’s Fund.

Cyclists will enjoy a scenic 22-mile ride, starting at Temple’s Main Campus and winding through Philadelphia’s iconic parks, including Fairmount, Wissahickon Valley, and Fort Washington State Park. The ride concludes at the beautiful Ambler Arboretum, a living laboratory that represents Temple University Ambler’s commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and wellness.

Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Ambler Campus Director’s Fund, which supports a wide range of campus initiatives—such as community programs, educational offerings, outdoor classrooms, and groundbreaking research—helping Temple Ambler continue to thrive as a hub for learning, wellness, and community engagement.
