Karen Joslin

Karen grew up in Annapolis, MD in the sailing industry on the Chesapeake Bay. She was an avid racer and cruiser, ocean and inshore, since the 1960s and continues to enjoy the sport with friends whenever possible. She became enamoured with sea kayaking ten years ago, and has explored many local waterways with some as far away as Georgian Bay, Canada. In addition,  Karen enjoys skiing, hiking, travel, reading, needlecrafts, volunteering with United by Blue to remove trash from our waterways, works to eliminate use of plastic bags, and volunteers at St. Peter’s Food Cupboard to help those who are food insecure.

Karen got her first real estate license in Maryland in 1980. She opened  and managed a small property management firm, then moved to Philadelphia in 1985 and switched over to sales. Except for a hiatus to raise two children, she has been working in real estate sales since 1985 and was with her prior employer for 24 years.

Karen’s career satisfaction comes from taking a buyer through the real estate learning process to find the “right” home, and help a seller attain an important goal. She wants to support her clients, problem solving every step of the way to closing to insuring the process is as smooth as possible. Real estate transactions have become much more complex over the years and when a client walks away from the settlement table, Karen wants that client to know they made a successful, life-enhancing transition. This is why most of her business is from satisfied repeat clients or referrals.
