Born and raised in Center City, Mae Johnson has spent much of her life in Philadelphia: educated at Masterman, Central, and Temple; working in Old City, Mt. Airy, and Rittenhouse; living in Fishtown, Germantown, Wash West, and now Society Hill. She currently serves on the board of QVNA, volunteers with the McCall Elementary HSA, and has first-hand knowledge of all that Philadelphia’s neighborhoods have to offer. Mae, her husband, and two children currently live on a quiet street in her childhood home, centrally located on the border of Queen Village and Society Hill. While the address may be the same as when her parents bought it in 1976, the house looks much different today; for the last 15 years, she and her husband Travis have been working to update the space to meet their family’s changing needs. Mae is a hands-on, DIY enthusiast who’s always eager to take on a new project or learn a new skill whenever she’s not out and about in the neighborhood with her kids. Her intense curiosity and eagerness to learn, coupled with a lifetime of homegrown experience make her a central hub of information about living in Philadelphia. As an associate on the CCSJ Team, Mae hopes to share her experience as a mom and lifelong Philadelphia resident with her clients to help them make the “stellar choice” when buying or selling their home.
