Melissa Torpie

As a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Melissa has a unique eye for aesthetics and detail. Over the years, she has purchased, renovated and sold personal real estate and currently manages her own portfolio of investment properties. These projects have honed her ability to both design and manage construction and identify opportunities. The search for properties as well as researching neighborhoods and their amenities has always been a passion.

Originally from West Mt. Airy, Melissa has resided in Graduate Hospital and Queen Village for the past 20 years, and is well versed in Northwest Philadelphia, Center City, and many surrounding areas.

You will often find her volunteering at the Germantown Friends School, where she is also a parent. She also serves on the Board of the Allens Lane Art Center. Melissa loves going to museums, traveling, putting her feet in the sand, and enjoying her favorite Philadelphia restaurants with her family.

Prior to joining the team as an agent, Melissa worked with the Karrie Gavin Group as a client. She and her husband purchased their mid-century modern home on the edge of the Wissahickon in West Mt. Airy, and the process of buying and fully redesigning and renovating their home further developed her passion for real estate. Her positive experience with Karrie Gavin and with Elfant Wissahickon Realtors made them the obvious choice to align with when she decided to get into the business.

Whether you are buying, selling or investing, you will find that Melissa has the experience and resources to help you through the entire process. Collaborating and gaining an understanding of her clients’ needs and giving back to her community are always her top priorities!
