Elfant Wissahickon Realtors opened on February 1, 1993 with a straightforward belief that relationships come before transactions and that a brokerage should serve both its agents and its community with equal care. Founders Week is an opportunity to pause and acknowledge that beginning. We recognize the leadership that shaped the company, the standards they set, and the people who continue to carry that responsibility forward every day.
The week is built around our Core Values; Collaboration, Professionalism, Transparency, and Service. It gives us time to reflect on where we started, appreciate how far we have come, and recommit to building a stronger future together. Real estate changes constantly, yet the consistency of our culture has allowed our agents to remain steady, optimistic, and resilient through every market shift. Founders Week is about remembering why this foundation still works.
Monday: Walk in the Wiss
The group walk in Wissahickon Valley Park was postponed due to weather, but it will be rescheduled so we can meet together outdoors in one of our favorite places.
Tuesday: Education Day
Learning has always been part of the company’s identity. Webinar sessions connected to the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World network followed by presentations focused on standing apart in a competitive marketplace. The focus stayed on practical ideas agents can apply immediately.
Wednesday: EWR Expo
The Expo served as a recharge and reset for the year ahead. Agents met with staff, partners, lenders, and association resources while exploring the tools available inside the brokerage. Marketing support, referral opportunities, conveyancing updates, technology platforms, and business planning guidance were all available in one place so everyone left even more prepared for the year ahead!
Thursday: Day of Service at 8039 Germantown Avenue
Giving back has always been part of the company culture. Together we assembled 50 comfort kits for youth experiencing homelessness. The company provided the bags and first aid supplies while agents donated socks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, granola bars, gloves, and hats. Coffee and bagels kept the room busy and energized while everyone worked side by side.
Friday: Choose Your Own Adventure
The week ended with individual actions inspired by the values of our founders. Agents supported local arts, volunteered, donated, met with mentors and mentees, and shopped small businesses throughout the communities we serve.
Founder’s Week is ultimately a reminder that a brokerage is not defined by a logo or a statistic. It is defined by the people who show up every day, help one another succeed, and contribute to the neighborhoods around them. That principle started in 1993 and continues to guide everything we do.
